Mass memorial set for July 2 to honor martyrs of recent Israeli attacks

The Islamic Propagation Coordination Council has invited Iranians to take part in a ceremony planned to be held in Tehran in commemoration of those martyred in the recent Israeli aggression.

AhlulBayt News Agency: The Islamic Propagation Coordination Council has invited Iranians to take part in a ceremony planned to be held in Tehran in commemoration of those martyred in the recent Israeli aggression.

The memorial service will be organized at the Imam Khomeini (RA) Mosalla (prayer hall) on Wednesday, July 2.

More than 600 Iranians, including military commanders, scientists, and ordinary people were martyred in the attacks launched against the country by the Zionist regime on June 23.

Iranian Armed Forces retaliated by launching Operation True Promise III, including missile and drone attacks on targets in occupied Palestinian territories, forcing the Israeli regime to beg for a ceasefire, that came into force on June 24.

The national funeral for the martyrs of the attacks was held with a massive participation of people on Saturday.

Now the Islamic Propagation Coordination Council is calling on people to attend the commemoration ceremony for the martyrs this Wednesday.

Here is a statement issued by the council on Sunday:

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Following the majestic and historic funeral procession of the pure bodies of Iran’s martyrs of sovereignty, and inspired by the meaningful, dignified, and awe-inspiring presence of Iran’s Ashura-loving nation during the farewell ceremony for the martyrs of the 12-day war, on the sixth day of the sacred month of Muharram, the Imam Khomeini (RA) Prayer Hall in Tehran will host a ceremony honoring the devoted children and defenders of the sanctity, dignity, independence, security, and honor of the Islamic Ummah.

This gathering of the nation will be another manifestation of the conscious bond between the people of Imam Hussain (AS) and the caravan of martyrs—a reflection of the continued path of the martyrs, a reaffirmation of divine promises, a revival of the discourse of dignity against the structure of domination, and a platform to express the nation’s resolve in the battlefield of wills.

The Islamic Propagation Coordination Council invites all noble people to attend the grand ceremony commemorating Iran’s martyrs of power on Wednesday at 5 PM, coinciding with the 6th of Muharram, at the Imam Khomeini (RA) Prayer Hall.

Let us once again renew our covenant with the luminous path of the martyrs and bear witness to the continuation of the path of resistance and loyalty to the truth of Ashura.
